Route Generator is a research application developed under the İTÜ İLATERA platform (TÜBİTAK 1004, Project 1.2 — Energy Management Based on Battery Health, Grid Interaction, Vehicle Control and Multi-Criteria Route Planning). It is published by Atalay Yazılım Ltd. Şti. This page explains what the mobile application and the web platform at route.atalay.ai do with data.

No account, no personal data

The mobile application does not require an account and does not ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number or any other personal identifier. We do not run advertising or tracking SDKs.

Location

The application can show your position on the map to help you pick a starting point. Location access is optional, requested only when you tap the locate button, and is used only on the device. Your location is not stored on our servers unless you explicitly create a route from it; in that case the start and end coordinates of the route are stored as part of that route's record.

Route and vehicle data

Routes, traffic snapshots, energy and battery simulations are computed on our servers and stored without any link to a person or device. Map tiles and road data are provided by Google Maps and TomTom; requests to those services are subject to their own privacy policies.

Technical logs

Our servers keep standard access logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and troubleshooting, retained for up to 30 days.

Updates

On launch the application checks our server for an updated application bundle. This request contains the application version and platform and no personal data.
